er cookt iets na wat wheelspin normaal?!

First, the Dutch version:

Gisteren was de weg glad duz wou ik proberen wat wielspin te krijgen. Ik (reved?) 3500-4000 tpm en de koppeling los. Wielspin voor 7 seconden, toeren gingen best hoog maar ik raakte (redline?) nooit.
Daarna kon ik wat ruiken als of iets aan het kooken was, dacht eerst de banden maar denk uitijdelijk dat het de (clutch?) was... okay, that hurt, and I tried... 

The road in this parkinglot was wet and smooth so I decided to attempt some wheelspin with my car, so I turned off TRACS, reved between 3500-4000 rpm and dumped the clutch, got some serious wheelspin going for about 7 seconds which was really awesome! While the wheels were still spinning I think I reved pretty high but I'm positive that I never hit redline.

Then I shifted into second AFTER the spin had stopped and my clutch was LIGHT! Like there was hardly any feeling in it, and plus I could smell something cooking, at first I thought it was the tires but it smelt like burning clutch? and it lasted for a few minutes which kind of worried me.

How careful do I need to be with having some fun with these cars? Or is this possibly just a problem with my car? Do I need to start thinking about a more durable aftermarket clutch as a replacement? I can't imagine a 7 second wheel spin putting THAT much tension on the clutch.

Appears like you have been riding the clutch to regulate the wheelspin. Basically you can leave the foot off the clutch until just before the engine stalls.
Don't ever do that again..  Try to use the force my young apprentice, don't waste it..

Als ik een clutchdump doe met de S70 gaat ie er als een speer vandoor..

Gewoon slechte banden monteren, dan lukt het ook zonder clutchdump..

Lukt zelfs met mijn relatief langzame S70 op een nat wegdek, gewoon op power, met goede banden.

Stond je airco aan?
Dan waarschijnlijk oververhitte aircokoppeling.

Ik denk dat je inderdaad je plaat lichtelijk hebt opgegeschuurd

Als ie nu verder goed koppelt en ontkoppelt is er niets aan de hand, de plaat is enkel wat dunner geworden.

Als Amerikaan herken je de lucht van verbrande koppelingsplaat nathuurlijk niet

yeah I figured, and I'm guessing I might have to replace the clutch someday anyway with something more durable, this is only the second time I've ever done it to this car but there have been 2 prior owners so there's no telling how much the clutch/car in general has been abused.

oh and FYI, I've never driven an automatic in my life, and I'm Dutch, don't let the English fool ya

Heb ook wel eens zo'n geintje uitgehaald, maar dan op droog asfalt.

Gasgeven tot 4000 toeren en dan de koppeling in 1x op laten komen (zonder te slippen dus) en vol gas geven.
Levert veel wielspin en een 7000 toeren draaiende motor op terwijl je even stil blijft staan. Overschakelen naar 2 pas als de snelheid daar ook naar is. Gevolg: Veel rook en 2 lange dikke zwarte sporen op het asfalt.

Bovenstaande methode levert de geur van verbrand rubber op, niet van de koppeling. Maar de koppeling wordt wel zwaar belast doordat je die niet op laat komen, maar in 1x los laat.

idd die gasten rijden allemaal in een automaat.
misschien heeft ie wel opnieuw moeten leren rijden toen hij naar nederland kwam ivm schakelen.

als je toch van plan bent er een andere clutch in te zetten kun je gelijk een wat sterkere nemen van ET bijvoorbeeld.
