hmm my brother has bring me to this stuff with light wheels.
do somebody know how much a stock 7,5x17" Titan weights?
i don´t have the big choice for light wheels for the volvo but here is the some...
weds tc 105 n 8x18" 7.3 kg
but i think i can´t fix them on without special spacers...i only have found some from seat audi 5x100 to 5x108 but not otherwise...

8 kilo voor 18x8 is hetzelfde als een OZ Ultraleggera...Trex is "cast" en niet "forged" dus is onmogelijk. (Team Dynamics cast velgen wegen net zoveel als trex)

Je hebt helemaal gelijk, ik heb ze net op de weegschaal gezet en de 18" is inderdaad 9,8kg en de 17" is 8kg. Heb die 2 door de war gehaald... :eusa_shifty:
Toch nette waardes voor een velg in die prijsklasse. Ter vergelijking: een Peg-imi in 18" weegt 12kg.
19" imi peg moet je denk ik de auto laten chippen om terug standaard acceleratie cijfers te halen ;D
10 kilo 18x8 is normaal ja. Team Dynamics PR 1.2 zit ook in die buurt.
PS: de 17x7 is 9kg ;)

i like the ats dtc from the peformance and the look, but in 7,5 x 17" i would need some spacers by using the prosche bbk...

Omdat de verhouding afgeveerd/onafgeveerde massa dan beter wordt --> betere wegligging
18"pegs is zeker niet licht. Ik heb ze eens op de weegsschaal gezet, maar met band weegt dat iets van 21 kg! Nee, dan mijn 16" Sirius wielen. Deze zijn licht als veertjes daarbij vergeleken. Dat zorgt voor een beter comfort door het gewicht alleen al.
ATS DTC in 17" should fit over the Porsche brakes without any spacers.
If you go from a heavier standard wheel, you will notice a difference (carefully, I'm not saying 'an improvement'!), but 1kg per wheel, you won't notice anymore. especially since this Volvo is not a race car at all AND you don't have a 5000 euro suspension kit underneath your car, so that you could make the finer adjustments to profit from this lesser weight...
And ATS has 'Gutachten' für die DTC in 17" 5x108, but only with 30 ET...

Yes its the rotating part. you will notice this better than 20 kilos more in the trunk.
And the car weighs more than 1500kg
What's a decent rim weight for a 19" and 18" rim?
Heico's 19" Volution rim weighs in at 26lbs or 11.7kg, that's somewhere around 3kg lighter than an imi peg, so all around you'd save 12 kg, but for an extra 300 euro a wheel? Worth it?
Overdrijf het nu niet. Of die 20kg in je kofferbak ligt of je wielen zijn, je gaat er in beide gevallen misschien 0,05sec sneller mee naar 100, meer ook niet. Je kunt het met vering wel merken, maar voor je er echt wat aan hebt, heb je ook daadwerkelijke goede schokbrekers nodig om het beter kunnen inveren (minder massatraagheid) ook om te kunnen zetten naar betere grip. En eigenlijk moet je dan ook nog topbanden monteren.
Dus in de praktijk is het effect voor iedereen die niet op het circuit rijdt niet merkbaar en degene die op het circuit rijden hebben er ook niet heel veel aan.

better acceleration (stand, drive), better handling,...
relief for brakes, suspension and the whole drive (Antrieb)
its not for the whole weight of the car...

PS: if it where easy this way, why spend money on light wheels, if i could throw away my 30-40kg electrical seats and so on :D
Moment of inertia is key. Your wheels are basically the same as dyno drums being spun up. Much smaller and lighter, but the same principle. It robs power to get them turning, and the difference between a heavy wheel and a light wheel is bigger than you'd think. Wheel weight has a larger impact than car weight on acceleration.

ok for example about 2kg difference 2 kg [one wheel] x 4 [all axis] x 7 kg = 56kg

then i dont have to use spacer for the summerwheels...
the problem is they are only available in 7,5x17" or 9x17"...
and i have see a bmw e30 with the 9x17 combi and it looks really great.
