The last couple of days the brake warning dash light the one that sorta looks like this (!) and in red has come on for like a few seconds under heavy acceleration but then would go away again. It first started when the temperatures were REALLY cold that one night when it was about 1-2'C and I thought maybe the cold had something to do with it, but now it's like 7-8'C and its still happening every now and then.

I've checked the reservoir but I can't make out the markings properly to see if there's enough fluid in there (the min and max labels have kind of faded)

I'm thinking between just filling up the reservoir or taking it to a garage to have the fluid completely replaced. I'm gonna have my oil changed soon anyway so I thought I might do them at the same time IF necessary. What do you experts think?

Thanks in advance!

Mischien de vlotter in het potje die blijft hangen.....

misschien werkt het wel gewoon zoals het hoort en begint te waarschuwen dat je remblokken een gevorderde slijtage hebben....
Never, never gonna give you up
love you just the way you are

It's always a good idea to have your brake fluid replaced if you're uncertain about the last time that it was done. It's best to change once it every two years. Like Mr. Gonzales says, check your brakes for excessive wear.

And change what has to be changed ;)

The MIN and MAX level should also be casted in the reservoir, give it a feel ;D

I'll check the reservoir again and see if it needs topping up, According to the manual, the warning lights have nothing to do with brake pads or discs so I doubt thats the reason, I don't lose any breaking pressure when the light is on, I think its just a reservoir issue

I'll check it out and report back,
Thanks guys!

by remvoeringen you mean break lines right?

I topped up the reservoir up to the max mark (felt for it) and the light no longer comes on, but I'm worried I may have tricked myself into thinking that everything is just fine. I'll have to check out the pads and lines to make sure they're okay.

Nope, voeringen is the friction material on the pads ;)

But check your lines anyway while your head is near :)
