I have a few ideas what this might be, but I really want to get this fixed cuz its pissing me off, so ideas people, PLEASE!

On heavy acceleration, as in, when the pedal hits the floor, around between 3k-4k RPM, in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear, my engine chokes, coughs, and stutters badly, its like it can't breath and the RPM's won't rise higher, so I have to shift gears. It might be the fuel pump, or is it the injectors? I dunno

However, when I accelerate fast, but don't put the pedal to the floor, I can reach higher RPM's so it makes me think that when the turbo is asked to perform under high pressure, something gives in and thats when the engine starts to act messed up.

So whats the deal? What could it be? I hate having to watch my foot when all I wanna do is go as fast as I can.

yep, bekend verschijnsel....   

Mag hopen dat je er inmiddels al eens een paar nieuwe bougies in gezet hebt ?  Hoe loopt het nou ?

Ik had dat probleem ook met de R. Uiteindelijk mijn eigen schuld, wasvochtig bij de bougie gaten geworden door wassen. Nieuwe rotor en kap erop en nieuwe bougies en nu gaat ie weer als de brandweer.
Je kunt het allemaal weer mooi droog maken met bijv een fohn.  Succes

Hmm ik heb hetzelfde, ik zat al te denken dat de injectoren niet genoeg opbrengst hadden of dat de brandstof niet genoeg druk kon opbouwen ofzo. Eerst maar even die bougies etc proberen dan.

Ik heb hetzelfde probleem nog steeds  Ik heb al veel vernieuwd oa de gehele ontsteking incl  bobine en brandstoffilter....

Okay, so here's the update since I had this issue...

I didn't do any testing as to where the issue was directly coming from, rather I just decided to replace the cables, spark plugs and coil all at once, I figured they were due for replacement anyway since they were still the original parts since I took ownership of the car 3 years ago, who knows how long it had been even before then!

So here's what's no running in my car:

Denso Iridium Power spark plugs
Magnecore Competition cables
MSD Blaster ignition coil

the result: the car runs as smooth as butter and even accelerates a little harder than what I've become used to feeling. This can only mean that the whole ignition system was faulty even before the stuttering started and held back on some of the power that the car was capable of.

Toch was ik wel benieuwd wat het resultaat zou zijn geweest als je enkel de bougies vervangen zou hebben. Die waren immers al lang en breed over de datum.

absolutely, I wouldn't have been surprised if the whole system needed replacing. It had been at least 3 years and most likely a few more since they had been replaced at all, it was just time to overhaul those parts, and now that I feel the difference, I can't complain
