I thought I might take a trip down memory lane. Its been 3 years since June 2006 when I took ownership of a Saffron C70 T5, my dream car since the age of 14 and I started my journey into modding.

The first week of owning the car, I had the front and rear bumpers painted because they were in pretty bad shape

October 2006, the first set of mods started to come onto the car. I wanted a lower stance, better handling and more grunt from the exhaust.

- Bilstein Yellow shocks
- IPD springs
- TME exhaust system
- IPD/Cherrywood strut brace

The exhaust was a little deeper but, not by much The IPD springs didn't lower the car as much as I had hoped

February 2007 came, and not being able to wait till I saved enough money, I also started making the car more my own by doing simple and cheap/free mods by;
- Debadging the rear
- Making a custom magnetic trunk lock cover
- IPD aluminum mesh grille
- headlight eyelids, which I customized a month later

April 2007 The rims would need an update as 17" Canistos became sooo 1998, thus came the 19" Pegasus rims in "black" chrome (shiny silver):

June 2007 Custom wheel centers:

Then came 6000K 35W HID's:

Tried out LED H3 bulbs which ended up sucking

February 2008 Another wave of mods came in

- 15mm and 25mm spacers front and rear
- IPD door lock pins
- IPD SR5T Ram air kit
- ScanGaugeII ODBII reader
- IPD upper engine mount
- IPD transmission brace and mount

The spacers gave a the car a great look, but the tires rubbed like crazy, so I had no passengers in the back seats for a long while.

May 2008 CF parts and stuff

At some point I attempted Audi style LED headlights:

These didn't last long either as the LED's started to break and burn out, plus I started seeing them on other crap cars so I removed them. In doing so however, I peeled off the chrome from the headlight bezel, so I removed all the chrome and painted them black, only to then match the corners with aftermarket ones.

June 2008, 19" Pegs get a custom look for 50 bucks because I'm not fan of bling unless its under the hood

June 2009, a year later, the mat look had to go and along with newly painted rims, came the third and current wave of mods:

- KW v.2 coilovers
- MSD Blater ignition coil
- Magnecor cables
- Denso power spark plugs
- Custom a-pillar pods
- Custom TME exhaust
- Painted brake calipers and wheel hubs

The rest is history ;)

Just for comparison...

and still a looooong way to go :)
