Yes its the rotating part.  you will notice this better than 20 kilos more in the trunk.
And the car weighs more than 1500kg

Overdrijf het nu niet. Of die 20kg in je kofferbak ligt of je wielen zijn, je gaat er in beide gevallen misschien 0,05sec sneller mee naar 100, meer ook niet. Je kunt het met vering wel merken, maar voor je er echt wat aan hebt, heb je ook daadwerkelijke goede schokbrekers nodig om het beter kunnen inveren (minder massatraagheid) ook om te kunnen zetten naar betere grip. En eigenlijk moet je dan ook nog topbanden monteren.

Dus in de praktijk is het effect voor iedereen die niet op het circuit rijdt niet merkbaar en degene die op het circuit rijden hebben er ook niet heel veel aan.

Moment of inertia is key. Your wheels are basically the same as dyno drums being spun up. Much smaller and lighter, but the same principle. It robs power to get them turning, and the difference between a heavy wheel and a light wheel is bigger than you'd think. Wheel weight has a larger impact than car weight on acceleration.

could i fit a 9x17" wheel without bigger probs on my 850 or would it be to wide ...?

then i dont have to use spacer for the summerwheels...

the problem is they are only available in 7,5x17" or 9x17"...

and i have see a bmw e30 with the 9x17 combi and it looks really great.
