that's a secondary air filter for in case my car had a secondary air system, usually found on cars where snow could block the primary air inlet and suffocate the engine (like Sweden) but I couldn't find it on my car even though I had a SAS inlet

haha ik ga binnenkort denk ik ook eens wat verdiepen in een open luchtfilter maar die stekkers weet me er geen raad mee.

Further development: I've noticed that upon high reving, that the engine vibrates a LOT, I think its about time to install the new poly' engine mount and transmission assembly and see the difference. I think any kind of increased vibration is worth is compared to the amount the engine displaces upon higher revs.

okay then, continued to make upgrades to the car.



I attempted to install the engine mount and transmission assembly but HOLY CRAP those things are tight, no way I could get the stock ones off, so I'll leave and try those for another day.

Spacers were easy enough though, 25mm on the rear, 15mm on the front.

Spacers zien er goed uit Barry! Merk je verschil met rijden? (bv bij sturen of inveren?)

Lag jou auto trouwens niet een stuk lager? Of leek dat maar zo door de zomer-velgen? Of moet / wil je dat nog gaan doen?

Hebbie ook een foto van de zijkant?  (haaks erop dus)

The car was off the ground for quite some time so I don't think it had settled completely yet. But I think the perception of the smaller wheels makes it look like that too. I do plan on installing coilovers at somepoint, but I'll see how things look when the 19"s go back on with spacers, maybe lowering isn't necessary to much anymore when the wheels stick out that much and fill the wheel well.

You think mudflaps would look good? I've seen pics of a silver C70 with painted rear mudflaps, doesn't look good at all

Heb dit draadje ook ooit gevolgd: is wel degelijk echt. Ikzelf vind de kont altijd een beetje puntig, dus recht van achter is dit best wel mooi. Vanuit elke andere willekeurige hoek echter ....

upper poly engine mount from IPD installed, getting the oem one out was a real bi@tch! Getting the new one in took a few minutes.

First impressions: engine noise is a bit louder, definitely more roffel! and power feels more solid and I can definitely feel more power being sent to the wheels than being lost in engine shudder. A positive upgrade then! Recommended to anyone who's thinking about one!

I dunno what everyone was talking about with cabin vibrations, I didn't feel anything more or less concerning that. Might be a powerflex attribute, not so with this IPD one!
