Hello people,
New toy is an 850, '96 model, with a few extras.... hopefully the avatar has loaded up so you can see it!!

Typing in english coz, i'm from Scotland originally, speak and read dutch, but writing is a bit of a mess, bear with me!!

Off to annoy the people on the technical forum, with some questions that they have probably answered 15 times before!!

 Photos on the way, fighting with the computer, not winning. its an ex interventie wagen, complete with blue strobe lichbalk and 2 tone siren!!

Blue lenses are now removed and orange caps in place, will fight some more with the computer tonight and post some photos and video with the lights on.

give me an engine over a computer anyday to work with.......

Whoooow thats nice. I lov' the blue strobe lichbalk and when using it in combination with the sirene you can drive very fast

From Glasgow originally, lived in Aberdeen for 5 years before Holland and now Belgium, travelled and worked a lot in the north of Scotland, great roads, no police, but to many sheep wandering across the road.... keeps you awake though.

Can someone enlighten me with some of the Volvo jargon alter1/2, and 855 moniker? Looking for parts and i see it mentioned a few times.
Is Alter is Serie1 and 2?
855 Sedan or Station?

Or am I barking up the wrong tree? (wont be the first time, certainly not the last!!)
