Mmm. Ik zat kats op de verkeerde pagina geloof ik :D.

CiteerAnother neat one. This was the 1942 Vought V-173 "Flying Flapjack," an airplane without a wing. It was to be a naval fighter, capable of easily taking off and landing on a carrier deck, and so had incredible STOL (Short Take-Off and Landing) capabilities, stalling at a mere 46 m.p.h. For comparison, the Piper Cub, one of the best STOL aircraft ever and capable of landing and taking off in three hundred feet or less stalls at around 30-35 m.p.h.. It had immense, and immensely complex engines. The two 1,350 turbo-prop engines had intricate gearing systems that allowed either engine to power both propellers in an emergency, and the two operating together could propel the fighter at up to 502 m.p.h. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V-173 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vought_XF5U.
